Accountants: trial balance, year-end report and reminders ready

The year end is signed off, and what is left is the report to comment and the records to chase. Roona prepares the analysed trial balance in your sheet, the year-end commentary in your own report template, the reminder for missing records in your drafts. The analysis, the advice and the signature stay with the accountant, and nothing goes out without your click.

The tools that matter in a practice

A practice is never short of skill, it is short of time. Roona takes on the output that comes back every week, in Excel, Word and Outlook, from your exports and your templates: the trial balance analysed, the year-end commentary written, the reminder for missing records ready to send. The analysis, the advice and the signature stay with the accountant, and nothing goes out without your click.

A trial balance that speaks

The variances calculated and highlighted in the sheet, with the chart. The conclusion stays yours.

The year-end commentary, in your own report

Written in your template from the accounts you upload: key figures, activity, points to watch. You review, you sign.

Chasing the missing records

The reminder ready in your drafts, with the list and the deadline restated. Nothing goes out without you.

How it works

  1. Open the Roona pane in Excel, Word or Outlook, or describe what you need in the app.
  2. Roona reads the selection or the file, then analyses or writes, drawing on the templates and client files stored in the practice’s memory.
  3. You review, you correct a sentence or a figure, you ask for another version.
  4. You approve, you insert into the sheet or the document, or you send from Outlook. What comes back every week, you set up once, and it runs.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI software for an accounting practice?

An assistant that works inside Excel, Word and Outlook, knows your templates and returns finished files. Roona analyses, writes and formats to the practice’s house style; the accounting analysis stays yours.

Does Roona replace my accounting software?

No. Roona does not keep the books and does not connect to your production software. Roona reads the exports you upload, writes, formats and prepares the exchanges with your clients.

Does Roona give tax or accounting advice?

No. Roona prepares drafts, summaries and formatting from what you provide. The analysis, the advice, the tax option chosen and the signature stay with the accountant. Roona does not assess people.

Is my clients’ data protected?

Yes. Encrypted in your browser, hosted in Europe, separated by space, never used to train a model. The account can be deleted, and the GDPR and the EU AI Act are respected.

Does Roona analyse an exported trial balance or general ledger?

Yes. Upload the export or select the range in Excel: Roona reads the real values, spots the variances, highlights them and gives you the list. You decide what deserves an entry.

How do I chase clients for missing records?

In Outlook, open the last exchange and ask for the reminder: Roona restates the list and the deadline, polite first, firmer next. For a regular rhythm, Roona schedules the reminders, with your approval beforehand.

Which Excel formulas?

Common and advanced functions: SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, dates, text, pivot tables and conditional formatting, in the function language of your Excel. An inherited formula, Roona explains in plain words.

Does Roona write an engagement letter or a fee proposal?

Yes, from your own template and the fee rates stored in the practice’s memory. Roona adapts the passages that change and leaves the rest untouched. You approve the scope and the fees.

Can my staff use it?

Yes. The practice’s memory is organised into spaces, one per client file if you want, with separate rights. The Enterprise plan, on request, priced per seat, adds the accounts, shared credits, roles and an audit log.

What about the assignment report?

Yes. Open your template in Word, dictate or type the points of the assignment, Roona writes the report in their place and leaves the rest of the template untouched. You review, you adjust, you sign.

Does Roona write the annual report and the year-end commentary?

Roona writes the commentary from the balance sheet and the profit and loss account you upload, in your own report template opened in Word: key figures, movement, points to watch, in the practice’s tone. The tables in the report stay those of your production software, and both the analysis and the signature stay with the accountant.

How much does it cost?

20 € excluding VAT per month per account, no commitment: the assistant, the document memory, the file generators, the Office add-ins and the Studio, 100 credits a month. A 14-day trial, no card required.
