IMAP and SMTP connected to Roona: your mailbox, whichever it is, sorts itself and answers with you.

IMAP and SMTP are the two universal email protocols. Once connected, you ask in the conversation thread, and Roona fetches what is needed, writes what you approve, and hands you the finished work.

Today, between IMAP and SMTP and the rest of your day, you are the one carrying things across: an address into a document, a figure into an email, a decision into a task. Each round trip takes two minutes and shows up nowhere. Connecting IMAP and SMTP removes the trip. Here are three ordinary moments, and what they become.

Two hundred unread messages after a week on site

Roona sorts, summarises the important threads and prepares the replies. No message goes out before you have read it.

A mailbox nobody ever connects

OVH, Infomaniak, a homemade host: if it speaks IMAP, it connects. You do not have to change address to get an assistant.

A thread with thirty replies

Roona hands you ten lines out of it, what was decided and what is being asked of you, and prepares the missing reply.

What Roona can do in IMAP and SMTP, exactly

Eight actions, no more and no less. Three for reading: read an IMAP message, list the IMAP mailbox messages and search the IMAP mailbox. Four for writing: create an IMAP draft, mark an IMAP message read, unread or flagged, reply to an IMAP message and send a message over SMTP. One that can delete, and that asks for your approval every time: delete an IMAP message.

You stay in control

Roona announces what is about to be written before doing it, and never acts unprompted in IMAP and SMTP: every action starts from a request of yours, in a conversation, unless you have set up a routine yourself and fixed its time. You can remove access in one step from your account, and whatever you leave disconnected is never passed on.

What Roona does not do

Roona goes through the universal email protocols, so it works with almost every mailbox, but without the functions specific to any one of them.

How it works

  1. You sign in once, through the official IMAP and SMTP procedure. No password is ever passed to us.
  2. You ask for what you need in plain language. Roona picks which of the eight actions to call, and in which order.
  3. Roona shows you what is about to be written, and hands you the result in the same thread.

Frequently asked questions

Can Roona change my IMAP and SMTP data without my knowing?

No. Every write is announced before it happens. You see what is about to be created or changed, and you can stop it.

Is my IMAP and SMTP data copied over to you?

No. Roona queries IMAP and SMTP at the moment of the task, uses the answer, and files it nowhere outside your conversation. What travels is encrypted and hosted in Europe.

How do I cut off access?

From your account, in one step, without telling us. Access is removed immediately.

Does the whole team have to connect an account?

No. Each person connects what they want, and what one person has connected does not become visible to the others. Sharing rules stay those of IMAP and SMTP.

Does it work with my IMAP and SMTP plan?

Roona uses the official IMAP and SMTP interfaces. If your plan opens them, the connection works. If it does not, no tool can get around that limit, ours no more than any other.
