GitHub connected to Roona: you know what changed in the code without reading it.

GitHub is the platform where code repositories live. Once connected, you ask in the conversation thread, and Roona fetches what is needed, writes what you approve, and hands you the finished work.

Today, between GitHub and the rest of your day, you are the one carrying things across: an address into a document, a figure into an email, a decision into a task. Each round trip takes two minutes and shows up nowhere. Connecting GitHub removes the trip. Here are three ordinary moments, and what they become.

Back from holiday, the repository has moved

Roona reads the changes and tells you in plain English what was changed and why.

A review with a contractor

Roona prepares the summary of the latest deliveries, so you walk into the meeting knowing what is being discussed.

A problem to report

You describe it, Roona opens the issue in the repository with what a developer needs in order to understand it.

What Roona can do in GitHub, exactly

Three actions, no more and no less. Two for reading: list a repository’s issues and search repositories. One for writing: open an issue. None of them can delete anything.

You stay in control

Roona announces what is about to be written before doing it, and never acts unprompted in GitHub: every action starts from a request of yours, in a conversation, unless you have set up a routine yourself and fixed its time. You can remove access in one step from your account, and whatever you leave disconnected is never passed on.

What Roona does not do

Roona reads the repository and explains it to you. Roona does not write your code for you and pushes nothing without you.

How it works

  1. You sign in once, through the official GitHub procedure. No password is ever passed to us.
  2. You ask for what you need in plain language. Roona picks which of the three actions to call, and in which order.
  3. Roona shows you what is about to be written, and hands you the result in the same thread.

Frequently asked questions

Can Roona change my GitHub data without my knowing?

No. Every write is announced before it happens. You see what is about to be created or changed, and you can stop it.

Is my GitHub data copied over to you?

No. Roona queries GitHub at the moment of the task, uses the answer, and files it nowhere outside your conversation. What travels is encrypted and hosted in Europe.

How do I cut off access?

From your account, in one step, without telling us. Access is removed immediately.

Does the whole team have to connect an account?

No. Each person connects what they want, and what one person has connected does not become visible to the others. Sharing rules stay those of GitHub.

Does it work with my GitHub plan?

Roona uses the official GitHub interfaces. If your plan opens them, the connection works. If it does not, no tool can get around that limit, ours no more than any other.
